All State Game - Bio
This is the sixth year of the All State Game. The first four years it was just one high school game featuring the best high school players in the state. All four games were won by the Treasure Valley in tight competitive games. Year Five we added a second high school game. The first was a 1a-3a format the second game were the top players from 4a-5a. Last year was also the first year of the best 8th graders from around the state and that game did not disappoint. Treasure Valley won 22-20 holding off Idaho on a 2 point conversion with seconds to go. Team Idaho won both high school games! So the overall series is 5-2 in favor of Treasure Valley. The format is being tweaked one more time for this July 3rd event. We will have the top 8th graders kick off at 11am. The top 8 man player’s start at 2:00pm and the best 11 man players begin at 5:00pm. For the third straight year the games will be played at the historic Holt Arena on the campus of Idaho State University in Pocatello. Built in 1970, Holt Arena was the nation's first domed stadium on a collegiate campus and the second indoor football stadium in the world. Holt Arena seats 12,000 spectators for football. It is the home facility for the Idaho State University Bengals football and men’s' basketball programs. Idaho State was the venue for the 1987-88 Division 1-AA National Football Championship game. Field surface is artificial turf.
